Why did you join Cath Kidston?

I wanted to join a brand where I could develop products that are unique as well as beautiful. Prior to working at Cath Kidston I have 7 years of Kids buying experience and I love how much fun/personality the Cath Kids range has to offer.

What do you get up to on a typical day?

Every day is different and that is what I love about my job. Although I work in an office environment, I am very rarely at my desk for long. I have the perfect balance of being creative, working at my computer and having meetings to discuss the range.

What do you love most about working here?

The people, even though the role is fast paced and you need to work on several seasons at once, the team of people around me really make the role.

What’s been your biggest achievement/proudest moment so far?

I developed a woven baby fashion range which was a new introduction into the collection, so far it has been really successful and seeing pictures of happy customers is lovely.

What is it really like to work here?

The office is just as you’d imagine; there is patterned wallpaper, there are great creative spaces and everyone is lovely. There is always something fun going on like Cake Friday or a quiz night.

What do you think makes Cath Kidston unique as an employer?

Kenny our CEO chats to everybody the same way, whether you are an intern or the finance director and really sets the tone for the rest of the business. It is very inclusive and you feel that as an employee you are a valued member of the company.

What piece of advice would you give to someone who was thinking of applying to work for us?

Go and visit stores and speak to the store staff, observe our customers and see what they think. I would also say be yourself in the interview.
