My sister in law who was working at Cath Kidston at the time introduced me to the company and she gave me lots of positive feedback about working at the company. So I applied for the Office Services Assistant role and was successful. I formally joined Cath Kidston in January 2015. In March 2016 I moved to the Supply Chain department and began my new role as a Supply Planning Coordinator.
My duties as a Supply Planning Coordinator involve raising purchase orders for the company and assist in making sure that production deadlines are met so that the company is ready for seasonal launches during the year, i.e. Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. I also work closely with the Logistics department to chase suppliers. As part of my duties I work with many different people across all different departments within the company so no two days are the same.
Working as part of a great team. Everyone in my team are very supportive and friendly. They are always happy to answer any question. The general working environment in the company is very casual and relaxed which makes it a very enjoyable place to work.
My biggest achievement so far is getting the job of Supply Planning Coordinator after working as an office services assistant for a year. I will always be grateful to management for giving me an opportunity to learn new skills and be part of this growing company.
There is a good balance between hard work and fun. It can also be stressful at times because there are many deadlines to keep on top of but my team are very supportive and are often happy to lend a hand when I ask for help.
